Let’s face it, there’s enough out there fueling division and strife. We’re all hungry for ways to bridge the gaps between us…and well, we all need something to fill the occasional gap in our tummies too. Could the humble chickpea be a peas-maker of sorts?
We like to think so. Particularly in the form of omami, our colossally scrumptious next-gen tofu. Like a miraculous diplomat, it has the power to bring everyone to the table running: vegans, flexitarians, pescatarians, none-a-tarians – and keep them seated together harmoniously until the last crumb has been eaten. (And then there might be some bickering, but that’s another story...)

Why OMAMI?
omami is a wildly delicious complete meal-in-itself with so many possibilities for preparation, you can enjoy a completely different culinary experience every day.
omami is no dull-as-dishwater, plant-based protein-provider nor is it depression-inducing, second-rate meat substitute. It’s a culinary wonder: a genuine game-changer and kitchen chameleon that no fridge should never be without.

Why chickpeas?
We chose to make our tofu from chickpeas because they are so undeniably and effortlessly scrumptious. Like the bassline of your favorite pop song, their earthy flavor lends omami that little extra bit of oomph. Plus, there’s an added bonus: people with soy-sensitivities can now enjoy tofu as well.
And chickpeas aren’t just pleasing to humans: chickpea plants turn nitrogen from the air into a natural fertilizer that enhances soil quality and promotes biodiversity.

THE PRODUCTION
Achieving such an impressive level of deliciousness takes dedication and attention to detail. Luckily, we do everything at omami with dedication and tremendous attention to detail. The result of over 30 years’ cumulative experience in the food and beverage industry.
omami is manufactured in the traditional way in our very own soy-free production facility (IFS Food Standard, ISO 22000). Here, we research, we test, we make, we do – as busy and buzzing as the millions of insects that frolic in and around our chickpea crops.
We’ve also gone about painstakingly sourcing all our materials and ingredients in Europe to make omami a truly European product – well, except for tofu’s proudly Asian heritage, of course. Call out to China, for giving us the gift of tofu!
