Any dipping sauce and snack veggies of your choice
Good to know:
The batter coating will be particularly crispy if you mix breadcrumbs and panko in equal parts and deep-fry the breaded pieces. Alternatively, you can also bake the dippers in the oven. Turn the triangles over so that they are crispy on all sides.
Ingredients
Dippers:
1
omami Tasty Nature Tofu
3 tbsp.
cornflour
water
Marinade from the tofu package
5 tbsp.
breadcrumbs
frying oil
Cocktail sauce:
100g
mayonnaise
3 tbsp.
ketchup
1 tsp.
lemon juice
½ tsp.
coarsely ground pepper
½ tsp.
smoked paprika powder
Tomato salsa:
¼
onion
½
Chili pepper of your choice of heat
1
clove of garlic
1 tbsp.
olive oil
100g
chunky tomatoes from the can
1 tsp.
chopped parsley
salt and pepper
1
pinch of paprika powder
½ tsp.
sugar
1
squeeze of lemon juice
Preparation
- For the cocktail sauce, mix all the ingredients together and arrange in a dipping bowl.
- For the spicy tomato salsa, puree all the ingredients with a hand blender to make a creamy salsa.
- For the crispy dippers, mix the starch, water and tofu marinade from the packet. Cut the omami chickpea tofu in half lengthways, divide each side into 8 triangles, dip in the starch mixture, then roll in the breadcrumbs (or panko).
- Heat a pan with oil and fry the breaded omami chickpea tofu on both sides until it is crispy and golden brown.
- Cut the vegetables into dip-sized pieces and serve with the crispy dippers and dips.
Happy omami. Enjoy the taste!
